Rhinos, Nerds, Onesies and Bouncy Castles? Fun Day Friday of course...
The onesie in its very nature is a playful piece that allows us that extra bit of comfort when doing anything from lounging with the better-looking other half, dancing at festivals or man-handling the braai. If there is one thing we certainly find, is that its quite easy to find some fun when donning the hooded jumpsuit.
With this in mind, One UP felt it was time to share some of fun around and on Friday June 14th, will be heading to charity partner Ubuntu Africa's centre in Khayelitsha with Cape Town's Black Ball Rentertainment for an afternoon of activities and interactive learning.
First donation made and Project Rhino meets Ubuntu Africa in Khayelitsha Fun Day
What an epic start to our Give ONE Back charity program and our partnership with Project Rhino KZN. We had sculpting rhinos out of clay whilst parachuting in onesies, 'Grape Expectations' and 'Keep One Up' events from the hilarious onesie olympics and who could forget (or maybe actually remember) selling and pouring numerous shots of Red Stag into the faces of onesie wearers at the WOW Party in Cape Town.
This Saturday, the first ever Onesie Olympics in South Africa will take place in Cape Town, in association with One UP, aFREAKa and Project Rhino KZN. The less than traditional Games will see Team One UP take on Project Rhino activist, Naked Skydiver and general ultra competitive Steve Newman in 5 back-to-back events at Camps Bay Bowls Club from 2:30pm, April 20th.

As if last week wasnt random enough, with Dene Botha taking on competition winner, Kia, in an old 'rhino-sculpting-whilst-paragliding-in-afreaka-animal-onesies' duel (watch the highlights here), this week seems like it will bring more of the same, with Cape Town onesie brand aFREAKa, Dene and yours truly getting involved in another round of rhino protection support.
