aFREAKa fans challenge YOU after going on the run
Win a paragliding experience & represent Team One UP against Project Rhino
Meet new One UP contributor, Lauren, who last week dodged the birthday kater by grabbing some pals and aFREAKa animal onesies and hitting the road just outside Cape Town. Feeling cocky, Lauren has decided to use this onesie action experience to challenge you onesie lovers to a challenge of your own. For a chance to WIN a Lion's Head paragliding trip and represent us in the next One UP challenge, read on...
LAUREN: Instead of the usual birthday spent nursing tequila hangovers, this year I decided to run my first 5k. Lets blame it on becoming older, bolder and wiser (or at least the pretense thereof). I teamed up with the guys of aFreaka and One UP South Africa, who helped me with a ridiculous request: If I was to do something for the first time, why not do it in a onesie?
Fortunately, I'm a girl that surrounds herself with crazy cats, so at the starting line of the 5km Fun Run (cats weren't too crazy about running though), stood a tiger, cat and giraffe proudly.
Thankfully these kind of runs start early morning, before the sun could really beat down on us-Onesies could get hot running outside in the summer sun! Two hours later, after what felt more like a leisurely stroll, run complete. Not something to boast about maybe, but it was something. Medal and all.
So now Lauren poses the challenge to you. For the chance to win the opportunity to represent One UP South Africa in our next challenge against Dene Botha from Project Rhino, involving completing a delicate craft task whilst paragliding down Lions Head, Cape Town, tell One UP:
What activity would you be prepared to do #InaOnesie?
To enter simply:
1. Tweet One UP @onesieSA and show us what you would do first time, starting your Tweet with 'Id be up for wearing a onesie...'
2. Make sure you you attach an original picture of what you would do, where you would go e.g. picture of you going surfing, skateboarding, ballet dancing, raving, hoola hooping or ice skating
...So your entry should look something like this:
I'd be up for wearing a onesie to go hit the skate park [Insert picture] @OnesieSA @DeneBothaSA
Note: You don't have to be in a onesie, you just need to show us where you would go. The picture must be of just you (not hugging 5 friends or licking girls faces) and has to be recent, not you in Disney Land aged 5.
The most interesting and unique picture entry wins the paragliding challenge position, easy as that! The competition will close on Sunday 31st of March @ 5pm.
The winner will be notified on twitter and must reply within 48 hours. They will also need to be available for either a morning or afternoon one day during the week in early April. The challenge will be filmed by your jump instructor attached to you and made into a short clip showing how you got on - Good luck!
